Read all about it A friend recently highlighted one of the difficulties blogging raises for readers. She was out with a good friend and a bunch of her friends. One of the girls was telling her about a recent adventure. My friend did not know whether to tell her "Oh I read all about it on your blog" or during the conversation to ask her to clarify matters that she read about etc.
Personally I don't mind if people say that they kept up to date via my blog. I started it as a way of keeping faraway friends up to speed on various goings on. But as time went on and I realised more and more people are reading this I go through phases of not knowing whether I should write about certain things. For example I am extremely careful to only write about trips away after the fact if at all possiible. You can just see the headlines "CyberCrime's new twist: BlogBurglars!" Also I will generally refer to people by nicknames or initials only: they'll know who they are and anyone who knows them will know to whom I refer.
Jesus but it's freezing up here. That's enough for today. I am off back to the fire.
Baltic Apparently last night was the coldest in 2 years. I am cold now in the garret of the mansion but last night I was too hot.
But enough about the weather. I have begun some very tentative and preliminary research on possible venues for the wedding. I have been asking people for suggestions. If any of youse have ideas, leave comments for me and I'll look into them.
We have also restarted our house hunting - well virtually anyway. We'll go and see a few places in reality at the weekend.

What can I say?

Not so little So my little bro Grats is going to be appearing in glorious technicolour during the Dublin International Film Festival (Isn't their website crap so far?). Actually I'm not so sure about the glorious technicolour. He is trying to decide which up and coming starlet he should bring with him to the premiere so if you are an up and coming starlet do leave your details here and I will pass them on.
So get onto the box office (01 8721122) and book your tickets now for "The Halo Effect" Savoy 1 22 February. See you there!
By the way - anyone wanna babysit?

Brain, brain wherefore art thou? I will have to start wearing a notebook around my neck. I always have a long list of subjects I wish to write about which whirrs around in me noggin all day until the very moment my currently capacious bum hits the yoga ball in front of the computer.
And now it's time for the last feed of the day. Here's the latest GarmanNews anyhoo:
11lb 140z. Yes that is another 8.5 since last week and I am slowly disappearing...
Sleeping through the night* - rock on all concerned!
Sleeping in the big boy cot and he looks so tiny again!

A year ago Loolie Boots, a frequent reader, commented in a mail that it's nearly a year since I was last planning a ski-ing holiday and look at all that has happened since then. This reminded me that I made a lame ass attempt to keep a record of my thoughts re the pregnancy offline - we told no-one until I was in the second trimester. We were advised not to by my doctor. Of course we didn't realise that a lot of people understood this to mean everyone except their mammies...!

Happy Families Finally got our Christmas snaps developed so expect to see a whole lot more pictures over the next few days. This one was actually taken and sent to me by my good friend The Welsh Professor. It is a very nice picture but it had to be cropped. Like one or two others in my collection it was slightly marred by my belly poking out from my too short top. Eeugh.Subscribe to Posts [Atom]
